my lonely journey at oversea
make me missing hometown at Thanksgiving
thought my brothers would be on the Uphill
they all have turkey except me
Feeling like an alien in a foreign land,
At festive seasons I pine for my family.
I can picture them now on the mountain,
They all wear cornel twig but not me.
A stranger wandering in a strange town,
Reminisces the home feast today deep along.
High on the peak my brothers would be,
All to pin the cornel twig except me.
On foreign land all by yourself you are alien no matter what,
your longing for the loved ones multiplies on every holiday.
I know remotely my brothers are climbing high right now,
they've sticked cornels all over yet still missing one buddy
Alone in a foreign land as a stranger,
every festival pro.
Afar brothers climb the mountain,
wear cornel but one person.
