貝多芬的小提琴協奏曲 (Violin Concerto in D major, op. 61)是我聽古典音樂的幾首啟蒙曲目之一,也是我最喜歡的曲目之一。聽過很多遍了,現在一人在家時,偶爾還會打開音響,聽一會這首協奏曲。收集的有好幾位大師級小提琴家的錄音,像 Itzhak Perlman, Jascha Heifetz 和 Anne-Sophie Mutter 的。聽來聽去,覺得 Perlman 拉得太美,不太貝多芬(相信這些詞都不夠音樂,沒辦法,腦子裡正經的音樂詞彙不多,只好湊合了),Heifetz 拉得太快,顯得有些趕,不夠從容。有一種說法是 Heifetz 嫌貝多芬羅嗦,曲子寫得太長,所以才拉得這麼快(道聽途說,並無根據)。我自己認為,還是 Anne-Sophie Mutter 處理得最好。忘了是從哪聽來的了,說貝多芬唯一的這首小提琴協奏曲簡單,和老柴的第一鋼琴協奏曲一樣,是不少演奏家剛出道時常選擇的曲目。我手裡的這張盤就是 Mutter 剛出道時的錄音(Anne-Sophie Mutter, Berliner Philharmoniker & Herbert von Karajan Original Release Date: April 22, 1985)。

No, I didn't write those "expert commentary", I have to point out - I ZTed most of it, and added a few of my own opinions. I'll have to make that clear in the original piece.
Like your comments about Perlman and Heifetz's versions of this concerto. I also liked Anne Sophie Mutter's version the best, and have posted her recording at my blog before. Unfortunately the videos were deleted by the poster (maybe because of copyright issues - youtube has tightented their copyright control lately).
