 | 小学三年级·摘草莓(2012 Shady Brook Farm) |
| | 2012-06-17 国际父亲节 东方人爱把苹果视为水果皇后，因为营养丰富，所以食疗保健得天独厚。常言道：“一天一苹果，医生远离我”；“一日俩苹果，毛病绕道过”！西方人也常把草莓捧做水果皇后，既夸耀其心形甜美，味道鲜嫩；又欣赏它绿肥红瘦，凝聚了春末的妩媚和夏初的娇艳。 宾州北部亚德利小镇林荫池塘农场有一大片开阔田野，苹果、蓝莓、黑莓、甜瓜、桃子、南瓜、木莓、草莓、西红柿和西瓜等时令瓜果新鲜蔬菜层出不穷。每到草莓(五～六月)、蓝莓(七～八月)、木莓(八～九月)、桃子(八～九月)、苹果(八～十月)和南瓜(九～十月)丰收季节，果园田埂全天候开放，并不断打出各种“节日”招牌，极大程度地吸引公众。人们无需购买门票，更不必提前预约。说实在的，这里最具风情的大多是都市生活望尘莫及的东西，你不仅可以随意采摘，而且还能打点野味尽情尝鲜。如需要带回家中继续享用，其价格略比市场销售(例如草莓每磅$1.99美元，即$1.99美元／454克)的低廉，新鲜性绝对无与伦比，因此完全不枉农田一番劳作。
暑假后第一个周末正赶上“国际父亲节”，我们几家携老带幼，相继赴约庄园参加“草莓节”采摘。一来乡下踏青，二来野外尝鲜，三来幸会四方朋友，何乐而不为？再说，老人家兴致悠然，年轻一代笑逐颜开，我们这些组织者倍感畅爽开怀。
林荫池塘农场栽培的草莓个头小而饱满，色泽红而泛光，爽口甜而透香，果肉嫩而多汁，味清正而恭心，营养高而滋补，令人恋不释手食不离口，怎一个“爱”字了得？我们附近超市货架上出售的草莓则截然不同，体态彪汉而质地稀疏，面貌润泽而味道中庸，如果不是外表华丽内在乏陈，便是地道的“驴屎蛋子外来光”！看来今后如若追求正宗甘美的草莓，我们应该不辞辛苦，经常光顾此地。
