MANILA, Philippines - The submission of a 300-year-old map to the international tribunal will strengthen the case filed by the Philippines against China's territorial claim, Malacañang said Monday.

"China's claim is about historical title. This old map would certainly present the side of the Philippines when it comes to any historical basis," Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said in a press briefing.

Philippines just made a big big mistake by producing one ' foreign ' 300 years old map .... because in China, there are plenty of 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 1000 years old genuine maps.
And moreover the 300 years old map was drawn by an invading sea captain ( Spain). If this map was drawn by a famous Pinoy then it is much more credible.
制造一个“外国”300年的旧地图，菲律宾只是犯了一个大大的错误~~~因为在中国有大量的100,200，300,400，500,1000年历史的真正的地图。
而且这300年地图是由一个入侵的（西班牙）船长画的。如果这地图是由一个有名的菲律宾人画的就可信多了。

Problem is, they can't show these "plenty" genuine maps you're talking about, or at least as far as I know.
