| On being conservative
In physics, the most important laws are conservation laws. Being conservative means being constant, being predictable, having few surprises.
In politics, being conservative would mean being constant, being predictable, having few surprises.
Or is it the case? People just found out the leader of the Conservative Party has dual citizenship. What a surprise!
Being conservative should mean to preserve, especially in a country such as Canada, where the birth rate is far below replacement rate. Otherwise, how can we conserve and preserve our society? But no major political party is defending our future generations and our future. No major political party is defending pro life principle.
Finally, let’s briefly discuss being liberal. Liberal on what? It seems nowadays being liberal is being liberal on everything, especially on facts.
