【注】统帅·“商人”(Henry C. Mercer，1856—1930年)虽然毕业于宾州大学法学院，但从未以律师为职业；之后周游世界数载，德国红河(Ruhr River)一带的文化让他眼界大开，除了收集各国文物珍宝，在宾州黑镇(Doylestown)自己的家乡创建“水流陶艺及瓷砖工坊”和“‘商人’博物馆”的同时，还打造出眼前这座非同凡响的水泥别墅——“永衡山丘城堡”，其中包括44房间：10浴室、5睡房、18壁炉，200多不同大小的窗户。另外，“商人”打了一辈子光棍，平常与管家及其丈夫三人共享永衡山丘城堡。
