The blackbird sat In the cedar-limbs. —— • —— • —— • —— • —— • —— • —— • —— 【《观赏黑鹂鸟的十三种方式》之十三(1917年)】 异乡人•史蒂文斯(1879生—1955卒) 【红霞译】 整个下午宛若黄昏。 雪花飘落 下个不停。 黑鹂鸟栖息在 雪杉树枝上。 【注】伯利恒钢铁公司从1857年至2003年前后辉煌了146年，总部设在宾州伯利恒(意指“面包房”)市，两家子公司曾分别跃居美国第二大炼钢厂和第一大造船厂，由它生产的锻造钢材不仅出现在诸如金门大桥、克莱斯勒大厦、麦迪逊广场花园、洛克菲勒中心、911炸毁的世界贸易中心、胡佛水坝、恶魔岛等地标性建筑，同时还应用于国防军械、能源发电、铁路运输、石油加工、煤炭开采和钢铁行业之中。 上世纪八十年代，随着进口钢材冲击美国市场，技术老化和业务脱节逐渐让伯利恒钢铁公司陷入危机，以致无法与廉价的外国劳动力竞争，再加上管理层因循守旧，劳工权益诉讼日趋增多，最终于2001年宣告破产。2003年，伯利恒钢铁公司将剩余资产出售给美国国际钢铁集团(International Steel Group)之后彻底解散。2005年，印度盟友钢铁公司(Mittal Steel Company)吞并国际钢铁集团，从此结束了美国对伯利恒钢铁公司资产所有权。 虽说伯利恒钢铁公司的消亡发生在美国制造工业转型的战略抉择和战略走势上，但这个只顾片面追求短期利润的增加而不考虑内部结构长远发展的企业根本不可能在更先进的新技术基础上全面提升国际竞争力，到头来只会被市场规律淘汰出局。 伯利恒钢铁公司遗址已载入《国家史迹名录》。
