【注】山丘乡与费城接壤，其地名取自裨益·山丘(Lucretia Mott)，用以纪念这位朋友会教徒、废奴主义者、女权活动家和社会改革者。

山丘乡原名营地镇(Camptown)，是宾州创始人勇将·小山(William Penn)营地的所在处，号称美国南北战争期间第一个联邦军黑人士兵训练基地。

山丘乡历史街区被列入《国家史迹名录》(Natl. Register of Historic Places)。
