| 關於芝加哥申奧的笑話 明天上午， 2016奧運會“鹿死誰手”就要揭曉。作為申請城市之一的芝加哥，自然是磨拳擦掌，加上圍繞奧巴馬總統前往哥本哈根的“controversy", 媒體有很多文章好做。下面是這幾天在電台聽到的一些有關此事的笑話，芝加哥人的油墨有趣可見一斑： 對話一： Host A: The stakes are so high, the Three Os are going for the Big O! (note: the three O stands for the prominent speakers on behalf of Chicago: Oprah, Michelle Obama and President Obama) Host B: Who else could go to make it even bigger? Host A: What about Michael Jordan? Host B: But his name does not start with O! Host A: Maybe he can change it to "Omally" - An Irish Jordan!! Host B: Well, the three Os are good enough! What can Rio bring to beat that? Host A: Maybe super model Giselle! Or other super thin ladies in thongs, ha ha! 對話二： Host A: If Chicago wins the Olympic bid, Mayor Daley will sure become "King Daley"! Host B: Well, maybe Daley will make sure that Chicago gets the bid by asking those people who voted for Chicago "to vote again!" (note: Its a running joke among Chicagoans that people here "vote early, and vote often") 對話三： Host A: Wheres the spokesperson Jesse Jackson Junior when the team needs him? Host B: Well, he is under federal investigation (for bribing to get Obamas senate seat), so he cant represent Chicago anymore! 笑話歸笑話，作為芝加哥的公民，還是希望咱們的城市能夠脫穎而出，讓咱們也在六年後過把癮。目前看來，鹿死誰手還真的很難說，本來芝加哥好像稍微占點上風，不料前幾天芝城近郊一所中學的學生在校外火併 (大概是黑幫之間的鬥爭)，被好事者錄下全過程在網上熱炒，惹得白宮發言人都不得不對此進行評論，恐怕對申奧會有一點小小的影響。儘管芝加哥比起里約來，犯罪率肯定要低的多，但所謂的 recency effects, 還是不可低估的。 據說巴西總統在演說中居然“偷竊”了奧總的著名口號，也口口聲聲“ Yes we can" 呢。早知如此，奧總應該為此口號註冊一下所有權，不得濫用，呵呵。 |
