 | 学前班·有缘千里来相会(Find Each Other in 2009) |
| | 2009-03-13 好不容易有机会要与阔别已久的老朋友林海见面，特别是在三月冬末春初时节，从寒无尽日的宾州到阳光明媚的加州。
最为激动的莫过于刚满六岁的孩子，尤其听说即将拜访的叔叔阿姨有一对素昧平生至少长自己两倍年龄、同样酷爱乐高生化战士、擅长国际象棋的儿子。冥冥之中玄机妙算，有缘千里来相会！
聚会那天，两兄弟恰在离家不远的加州伯克利大学参加全美国际象棋积分赛，很晚才能回来，孩子只好靠摆弄玩具游戏打发时间。
六、七年前哥俩像孩子这个年纪时也曾如痴如狂过生化战士。从留下来一大箱近乎古董的陈年旧物里，孩子不难领略与哥俩志同道合的兴趣，雕镂人心的感情寄托。虽然斗转星移，生化战士已更新万千，从孩子鉴赏哥俩藏品之后脸上所洋溢的幸福笑容中，不难看出哥俩留在孩子心中那种前所未有相见恨晚的印象。
哥俩有一套古色古香、质地考究的国际象棋，孩子自顾不暇穿梭于生化战士和游戏之中。 孩子是家中的独苗苗，遇到没有玩伴(通常是我没空的时候)，只好自己跟自己较真，像左手PK右手就是孩子自得其乐的把戏之一。
这次孩子的左手又被设计成“姥姥不疼、舅舅不爱”的可怜之辈，右手自然是“含在嘴里怕烫着、捧在手中怕化了”的天之骄子。虽然胜败乃兵家常事，但掌握在孩子手中的两方棋子，只有“曹操(右手)痛打黄盖(左手)”一种古曲今唱。左手愿挨，一败涂地；右手善打，乘胜追击。右手布下的天罗地网，左手想逃之夭夭都难。无论棋路千变万化，结果都是千篇一律，不带任何戏剧性变化：左手屡战屡败不堪一击，右手所向披靡常胜不败。
等到与哥俩轮番对弈时已是晚上九点多，孩子欣喜若狂倍感荣耀。虽说棋技相去甚远不可同日而语，孩子执棋先走也就少了不少客套。孩子主动出击毫不畏惧，哥俩按兵扎寨稳扎稳打；孩子短兵相接视死如归，哥俩大敌当前临危不惧；孩子四处奔波马不停蹄，哥俩水来土挡攻不可破；孩子丢卒保车危在旦夕，哥俩心静如水胸有成竹……
幸好孩子最后转危为安旗开得胜，不然简直难以想象哥俩如何摆脱这般莫言的痛苦和无尽的折磨。
空前未有的满足，空前未有的骄傲，让孩子一想起这段奇迹般地经历就心花怒放，美不胜收！
