Faculty Position in Counseling Psychology, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington, DC Campus

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Washington, DC campus invites applicants for a full-time, twelve (12) month positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The primary instructional assignment for this position is with the Counseling Psychology master's program. This program is designed to meet CACREP standards to prepare graduates to be licensed professional counselors. The primary areas of specialization beyond the counseling core are the treatment of
addiction disorders, trauma, and child and adolescent treatment. Start date: August 2012.
Qualifications include a doctorate in Counselor Education or closely related field, preferably a degree from a CACREP program; licensed or license-eligible as a clinical practitioner in Washington, DC; clinical experience; commitment to issues of social justice and diversity and to preparing students to become competent practitioners; team oriented; and experience developing curricula. Previous teaching experience at the graduate level, including online/blended or distance learning is highly desirable. The ideal candidate has a strong potential for or proven track record in attracting external funding.
