2025年7月26到8月4号，四个好朋友，分别从新英格兰，密执安州，芝加哥和圣地亚哥，奔赴西雅图。一起完成了九天九夜的背包环游Wonderland 环RARAINIER冰川公园步道。行程大约120英里，一路风景优美，令人流连忘返。其中三人都是第一次体验多日步道旅行。

九天行程图如下：

第零天

Red eye flight in, checkout rental car. Get supply at Walmart/Gas station.  NP timed entry. Get permit and cache food at Longmire ranger post.

第一天 

行程： 15 miles

camp: north puyallup river camp

险情： One team member not arrive camp in time, about to report ranger missing person, contact family via InReach satellite device.  

第二天

行程： 16 miles

camp: Pyramids camp

险情： one member did side trail to high elevation alone,but not getting back to camp when it's dark.

第三天

行程： 18 miles

camp: nickel creek

Team members were treated with sweeties. Thanks for Ed.

Reflection Lake is beatiful but not good for swimming, too many observers.

Lake Louis is great for a hiker dip.

detour is not fun. Hard to find the way. Ed almost got lost by misleading cairns.

delicious Thimbleberry. But I am not brave enough to eat yet, until last day of the trip.

180 feet deep Muddy Fork Cowlitz river canyon.

行程： 12 miles

camp: Summer land 

险情： one team member not equipped with crampon, Pan Gap where the elevation is high around 6000, walk on ice is quite risky.

第五天

行程： 11 miles

camp: Glacier basin camp

At the ranger post to get cached food. 

第六天

行程： 17 miles

camp: Dick creek camp

险情： JIM had a fall on trail due to dizziness, luckily fell on soft trail. 

I didnot hear Jim calling me after his fall. But Jim stepped into this pool again accidentally.

第七天

行程： 8 miles

camp: Eagle roost camp

Jim was found sleeping outside his tent on Dick Creek site. He needed a better pad. 

Here is the so-called carbon glacier.

So many delicious wild berries, all sorts of. 

I lost one of my gaiters while picking up in the bushes.

第八天

行程： 27 miles

camp: Lake gorge camp

Mowick Lake camp, we send Ed to visit for the team. If the carbon river bridge was not closed this year, this would be our start/end point for the loop trip.

Golden lakes cabin - the patrolling ranger's office. 2 ranges were actually camping at the lake side. 

At North Pullyaup River Camp (we stayed at day 1) again, we officially finished the wonderland trail loop here.

行程： 3 miles， get the parked car. 

Car tire seriously leaking(REAR RIGHT) under 20 PSI. Fix and return
