I have no problem with 2cents' Oedipus-complex-denoted love for his new motherland Canada.

But do have problem with him for being sacrilegious to China and the Chinese culture.

This post is just to needle 2cents a little bit.

You got it wrong, the word "protest" at Shakespeare's times meant "vow" or "declare". Here the Queen is saying that lady's vow is too elaborate or fake. nothing to do with the meaning of "抱怨" as you translated.
