		主流社会-我的经历	2010-04-10 12:12:19

我不知道什么是主流社会？！原来看国人谈到此，一脸的无奈。可以理解。我们都是由此过来的。有博士学位，但不得不半夜到工厂做清洁。我不认为这是我们的耻辱，而是加拿大的！我们能做的就是尽自己的努力。

经过4年的再学习，我有幸一直在加拿大的许多政府工作过6年。如果按照国人的观点，我也算“成功打入主流社会”！LOL 我从未有此感觉。现在我被一个香港女人迫害丢了工作，我也没有觉得就失去了身份。

我的观点也许太淡然！就像我从不知什么是名牌，从来不谄媚权威（这是我离开中国的原因）。但国人太在乎虚无的东西是由来已久。

不幸的是，这个香港女人，一个象伍冰枝（旧总督）式的女人（说一口流利英语，没有中国姓，嫁２个英国佬），却娴熟于地地道道的中国式阴谋。我的公会正在跟这个香港女人打“官司”（还未到hearing）,但２周前我的公会劳资官员说我的雇主正严肃的考虑给予我赔偿。正等着。不管胜于负，我已没有什么可损失的了。

嘿，也许这个香港女人觉得自己就是主流呀！你想成为这样的主流吗？一个连自己姓都给忘了…

The difficulty with this statement is this: the word "Chinese" is both an ethnic origin （血统）and a nationality （国籍).
Clarkson is of Chinese origin, but she is a Canadian, and her viewpoint is entirely Canadian. From that angle 她的所作所言是无可厚非的。

对不起我把我老板与Adrienne Louise Clarkson混为一谈。我只是说
they have something in common。 Not necessarily mean Adrienne Louise Clarkson is a bad person as my boss.

By the way, I have no personal negative opinions about Adrienne Louise Clarkson. She had been very successful as a Chinadian, right? But if you feel you are proud for her as she is Chinese, you would feel sorry. She was bothered by her Chinese identity and that Chinese thought she was Chinese. She claimed she was herself. She is better off if you treat her as she is. If you respect her as she is Chinese, go to read some comments about her in the media.

When the new governor general showed her feelings publicly for her home country’s disaster, it was very easily to recall Adrienne’s different attitude towards Chinese.

If someday, I became as famous as she was, I wouldn't want to be respected as I was Chinese either. I wouldn’t want to be forced to say “Thank Chinese government” like Zhou Yang did. But I wouldn't feel shamed as Chinese. I would try my best to help Chinese when they are in need

对你的处境我深感同情，很多移民有和你相似的经历，这不是加拿大的耻辱，这是加拿大很大的损失。虽然你没有主流的感受，但毫无疑问你已经是“主流成员”了（哈哈），姑且不谈那位香港女士是否“主流”，平心静气想一想，她的行为可和“主流”无关啊，对不对？把她和加拿大人崇敬的伍冰枝女士串为同流，有点过分吧？

I left this at someone else's posting, maybe I can share this with you as well. In my opinion, the only famous 华人 whoe 融入了主流社会 was Connie Chung who announced on CBS Evening News in 1994 that all Chinese in this country were spies.
