从一首《One Day More》看中美关系

川习晚宴上演奏了《悲惨世界》中的〈One Day More〉。这首歌写的是重大变化到来前的一夜。听到它，我想到的是：世界局势正在急剧变化，中美两国都在思考如何调整策略、保持稳定。

我也注意到，特朗普安排他的15岁外孙女出现在一些相关场合。在我看来，这传递出他希望中美关系继续友好的态度。晚宴上的选曲，则让我感受到另一层提醒：友好要长久，双方就必须相互尊重，认真对待彼此的关切。

这是我对这些安排的理解。面对变化，中美两国应保持沟通，避免误判，在相互尊重的基础上寻求稳定的关系。

U.S.–China Relations Through “One Day More”

At a dinner attended by Trump and Xi, “One Day More” from Les Misérables was performed. The song takes place on the eve of momentous change. Hearing it, I thought of how rapidly the world is changing and how both China and the United States are considering adjustments to their strategies while seeking to maintain stability.

I also noticed that Trump arranged for his 15-year-old granddaughter to appear at some related events. To me, this suggests a wish for friendly relations between the two countries to continue. The choice of music carries another reminder: for friendship to last, both sides must respect each other and take each other’s concerns seriously.

That is how I understand these arrangements. In a time of change, China and the United States should keep communicating, avoid misjudgments, and seek a stable relationship grounded in mutual respect.

新疆和台湾，面积相差近50倍。

新疆是朝陆地方向伸出去的一只拳头，台湾是朝海洋方向伸出去的另一只拳头。一个保陆权，一个争海权。中国的地理位置决定了它必须同时面对陆地和海洋两个方向，缺了哪头都站不稳。新疆和台湾，恰好就是这两头的锚。
