: The importance of partnerships

【摘要】2025年聯合國預防和控制非傳染性疾病及促進精神健康高級別會議，標誌着精神健康領域的一個重要轉折點。聯合國大會此前從未提出過以精神健康為核心內容的政治宣言。儘管該宣言未能獲得正式共識通過，但此次高級別會議傳遞的信息十分明確：精神健康是一個全球性問題，需要全球協調應對。

將承諾轉化為行動將充滿挑戰。夥伴關係將是任何旨在減少精神疾病的全球長期努力的關鍵組成部分。尤其重要的是，要建立能夠匯集各利益攸關方以及傳統上被排除在決策過程之外的人們觀點的夥伴關係。儘管大會高級別會議令人印象深刻地展現了各國為應對精神疾病而攜手合作的努力，但兩天前舉行的一場邊會也清晰地表明了夥伴關係的重要性和力量。 

[Summary] The 2025 UN High-Level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases and the Promotion of Mental Health marked an important turning point for mental health. Never before had the UN General Assembly put forth a political declaration with mental health as a central component. Although the declaration did not reach formal consensus endorsement, the message from the high-level meeting was clear: mental health is a global concern that requires a coordinated global response.

Turning promises into action will be challenging. Partnerships will be a crucial component of any global, long-term effort to reduce mental illness. Especially important will be partnerships that bring together the perspectives of a wide variety of stakeholders and people traditionally left out of the decision-making process. While the General Assembly's High-Level Meeting was an impressive demonstration of nations trying to work together to address mental illness, a side-event held 2 days earlier clearly showed the importance and power of partnerships.
