韩国首尔中央法院2016年05月14日对杀菌剂厂商利洁时（Oxy Reckitt Benckiser）前法人申铉宇等4名相关责任者正式批捕。申铉宇为该公司前任社长，被指在确信产品含有危害人体物质的前提下，依然进行生产销售，并宣扬对儿童无害，涉嫌犯有欺诈等罪行。

利洁时（Oxy Reckitt Benckiser）长期生产的“加湿器杀菌剂”因导致哮喘(Asthma)，肺纤维化( Pulmonary Fibrosis)和肺慢性间质炎(Pulmonary Chronic Cirrhosis），仅仅在韩国境内于2001年至2011年销售的加湿器杀菌剂就造成超过200孕产妇和婴幼儿死亡、500人受伤的重大事故。

Oxy Reckitt Benckiser offers belated apology to victims

Asthma. Pulmonary Fibrosis. Cirrhosis.
These are just some of the severe illnesses caused by chemicals allegedly used in a household humidifier disinfectant manufactured by Oxy Reckitt Benckiser.

The connection was confirmed in 2011 after four pregnant women died of lung problems after using the product, which had been on the market for over 10 years.

According to the Ministry of Environment, more than 200 people have suffered from the toxic sanitizer including 95 related deaths. The CEO of Oxy Reckitt Benckiser held a press conference Monday delivering a public apology to the victims and their families, pledging to spend more than four-million U.S. dollars in compensation.


  "We are deeply sorry. We want to make amends.  We remain committed to Korea and Korean consumers and will work hard to regain your trust.  Nevertheless, we understand that despite our efforts nothing can completely ease the pain and suffering of the victims and their families."

 The CEO's public move came after the prosecution recovered a controversial email late last month, denying any culpability in the case, which triggered strong criticism from the Korean public.
Some victims attended the press conference in Seoul, and expressed anger over the belated apology saying that it does not provide solace from the pain they have experienced over the years.

 Meanwhile, the prosecution said they will conduct a complete and thorough investigation on Reckitt Benckiser products that have been sold to probe any further or additional damages.

朴槿惠遭致命一击 世越号级别事故再现

韩国2001年至2011年销售的加湿器杀菌剂造成超过200人死亡的事故，于日前被彻底曝光后，韩国政府怠慢的应对态度，令民众将事故称作世越号问题重现，对朴槿惠政府的信任危机随之加剧。　　

据《产经新闻》5月15日报道，本次杀菌剂事件的完全曝光和处理，由于距离事故被发现已有5年，且死者众多和政府应对延误等特征，令韩国媒体和民众均表现出极大不满，称之为“世越号再现”、或“家庭世越号灾难”。

事件最早于2011年被发觉。当时，首尔一家医院肺纤维化症状住院的病人接连死亡，死因是不明原因的急性肺病。死者都是孕产妇。随调查深入，又发现2011年之前也有大量婴幼儿和产妇因相同原因死亡。随后的调查和实验初步认定，“加湿器杀菌剂”是导致罹患不明肺病致死的元凶。截至目前最新核实的数据，是已致死239人，致伤500多人。　　

韩国保健福祉部疾病管理本部开展了大规模的流行病学调查后排除了流行病毒引发的可能，并在随后的调查和实验中初步认定，“加湿器杀菌剂”是导致孕产妇等罹患不明肺病致死的元凶。　　

加湿器杀菌剂致死事件至今已过去五年，这一事件导致韩国众多孕产妇和婴幼儿死亡。韩国政府对这一事件向民众公布信息、除了涉事企业和责任人上行动迟缓，遭到广泛质疑和诟病。　　

而在量刑方面，由于涉案人员表现积极，有可能最高被处以15年有期徒刑。该官方意向曝光后，再次激起民众的强烈不满。而朴槿惠政权在不久前结束的大选中，已沦为国会劣势党派，朴槿惠本人也在民调中遭遇支持率大幅下滑困境，她在改善经济和就业率上表现低能，引起了广大民众越来越强烈的不满。杀菌剂事件的曝出，或对其本已脆弱的政治基础形成非常致命的打击。
