Charlie Kirk: A Contemporary Stephen

(Archer Hong Qian)

我們生活在一個高舉DEI(Diversity 多元性、Equity 公平性、Inclusion 包容性)的時代,但由於意識形態的偏蔽、混雜與狂熱,DEI本身並不能保障“Live and let live”。

(Do to others as you would have them do to you)。

(Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire)。

(To give joy to others as one desires for oneself)。

(An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth),約束權力濫用,維護自由公義

(Live and let live; don’t be evil and let evil be)。

MAGA-MAHA(Make America Great Again – Make America Healthy Again)運動,觸動美國,感動全球——既是每個有生命的個人勇氣的見證,也是群體復興的起點。

Charlie Kirk: A Contemporary Stephen

Archer Hong Qian
September 16, 2025, Prince Edward Island – Maine

Stephen was the first martyr in Christian history, recorded in Acts 6 and 7 of the New Testament. He was a deacon filled with faith and wisdom, who angered the religious leaders by openly proclaiming that Jesus was the Messiah. Around A.D. 34, he was accused of blaspheming the temple and the law, and brought to trial in Jerusalem. Confronted with false charges, Stephen delivered a powerful speech, reviewing the history of Israel and courageously exposing the stubbornness and sins of his accusers. Enraged, the crowd dragged him outside the city and stoned him to death. In the midst of this, Stephen prayed for God to forgive his persecutors, and before dying he saw a vision of heaven: “Look, I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

Stephen’s martyrdom not only marked the beginning of the early church’s persecution, but also became a symbol of testimony to faith and truth. The Church, as God’s vessel, was meant to carry faith and fellowship (Trust), yet in different historical periods it often fell into misunderstanding of doctrine, abuse of power, or deviation from the teachings of the Holy Bible, becoming instead an oppressive Subject against dissenters. Stephen’s blood, however, ignited the zeal of the apostles to preach the gospel, profoundly influencing Saul (later Paul), who transformed from persecutor to great apostle. By his death, Stephen demonstrated the courage of faith and the virtue of loving one’s enemies, laying the spiritual foundation of the Christian martyr tradition, and inspiring later generations to hold fast to truth under oppression.

Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom will not only inspire the revival of American conservatism, but also symbolizes the call of a new spiritual movement—an era summoned by the spirit of Intersubjective Symbiosism.

We live in an age that exalts DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion). Yet, because of ideological bias, confusion, and fanaticism, DEI itself cannot guarantee “Live and let live.” On the contrary, when diversity, equity, and inclusion are hollowed into slogans, or even turned into tools for certain groups to claim themselves as Subjects while treating others as mere Objects to be manipulated and dominated, they can foster division and conflict—echoing the warning: “How much evil is committed in thy name!”

Therefore, we must employ the wisdom of Intersubjective Symbiosism to discipline and guide DEI, so that it may truly reflect the covenantal love between God and humanity in its highest and truest form. This is precisely what Amorsophia—the Wisdom of Love—reveals: it endows each life with the power of self-organization and connective balance, enabling humankind, through interaction, to move toward consummate symbiosis.

Stephen, two thousand years ago, was the first martyr. By courageously witnessing to faith and truth, he was stoned in Jerusalem, yet his blood opened a new chapter of faith and freedom. Today, as we commemorate Charlie Kirk, we cannot help but recall that history.

Kirk’s death was not merely the end of a personal life. He embodied a spiritual stance: in a time of chaos and division, he dared to publicly stand for faith, family, and freedom. He believed in free speech, he insisted on debating with opposing voices, and he lived out the conviction that “the truth shall set you free.” For this reason, his sudden passing has been regarded by many as martyrdom.

The meaning of a “Contemporary Stephen” is to remind us:

The Courage of Faith: to withstand mockery and attack, and boldly testify to faith and truth.

The Cost of Freedom: freedom is not a cheap slogan; it requires blood as its guarantor.

The Spiritual Call: in a time when DEI slogans grow hollow or distorted, only the values of Intersubjective Symbiosism can truly achieve the universal love of “Live and let live.”

Yet martyrdom is not the end, but a new beginning. Stephen’s blood became the seed of the Church’s rebirth; likewise, Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom will become the seed of contemporary Intersubjective Symbiosism. Like a grain of wheat that falls into the ground and dies, he will yield countless fruits, inspiring multitudes to hold fast to faith and freedom.

What enables this seed to grow and flourish is the wisdom of Intersubjective Symbiosism—Amorsophia. It calls us, in the interactions between person and person, person and society, and person and God, to live by the Five Universal Rules—Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron, and General:

Golden Rule: Do to others as you would have them do to you.(待人如己,推己及人)

Silver Rule: Do not impose on others what you yourself do not desire.(己所不欲,勿施於人)

Bronze Rule: To give joy to others as one desires for oneself.(己之所欲,亦施於人)

Iron Rule: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth—but with restraint, never abuse.(以眼還眼,以牙還牙)

General Rule: Live and let live; do not be evil and let evil be.(自己活,也要別人活;不要自己邪惡,也讓別人邪惡)

Charlie Kirk firmly believed that through debate and sincere dialogue, people could be led toward truth and mutual understanding. Even if consensus could not be reached, at least mutual recognition and respect could be achieved. He always treated others as spiritual life-subjects equal before God, transcending the egocentric extremes of liberalism and political correctness that elevate the self as Subject while reducing those of different ethnicity, gender, or political stance to manipulable Objects.

He once said: “I hope to be remembered for the courage I held for my faith.” Today, those words have become a fire, igniting the hearts of countless young people. Through the vessel and mirror of Turning Point USA, the world shall see: even in an era rife with hypocrisy, fragmentation, cancel culture, and cold indifference, there are still those who dare to defend truth, freedom, and trust at the cost of their lives.

Just as the first martyr Stephen, Charlie’s blood is not the withering end of life, but the seed of a martyr. This seed will take root in the soil of hatred and division, sprouting to bear the fruit of love and truth. It symbolizes the movement of MAGA–MAHA (Make America Great Again – Make America Healthy Again)—stirring America, moving the world. It is both the testimony of individual courage and the beginning of collective renewal.

Stephen’s blood became the seed of the Church’s revival; Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom has become the seed of contemporary life and the spirit of Intersubjective Symbiosism. Amid hollow DEI slogans and rampant extreme liberalism, his sacrifice is given a new mission: rooted in Amorsophia, to embody “Live and let live,” and to guide humanity toward balanced self-organization and rebalancing across the dimensions of Genetics, Dynamics, and Synergy.

Only thus can we, in the midst of chaos and extremism, safeguard truth, regain freedom, live out covenantal love, resolve conflicts, rebuild world order, and move toward global symbiosis.
