I supported Fang Zhouzi's anti-fraud activities. I have no connection 
to Dr. Xiao whatsoever and only heard of Xiao after the Fang's beating case was 
solved. However, my research showed that in this case, Dr. Xiao is actually a 
medical scientist who has done significant pioneering work widely recognized in 
his field (see attached documents found online), and Fang Zhouzi was once 
exposed as a plagiarizer by Dr. Xiao. 

Given the finding of defamation by the Wuhan District Court, Mr. Fang's 
accusations against Dr. Xiao are entitled to zero weight. 
NYT's failure to consider the personal history between Dr. Xiao and 
Mr. Fang has likely resulted in biased or even false reporting, which may 
subject NYT to tort liabilities under U.S. and PRC laws.
