This led to the biggest recession since the 1929 Great Depression. We've had a Democaratic Admin. for 21 months, trying to turn things around and NOW you're upset? Yet incredibly you don't see how ads like these are manipulating!

Some of these comments make legitimate points about kids' work ethic and concern about debt to China or any foreign govt. But Str8Raiser you are naive if you don't see that the above video is racist and intended to manipulate by instilling fear and hatred. A positive message like President Kennedy's "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" is an example or a responsible and credible message as opposed to this racist and exploitive one.

Why do these groups only start talking about "wasteful spending" when there is a chance the hardworking average American might get some government benefit, i.e, a pension, or healthcare or a free education? Where was the outcry against "wasteful spending" when Bush Admin. was spending billions to kill and torture innocent civilians, women and children? Where was the outcry when tax breaks were being given to big corporations and subsidies to profitable companies like BP?

The point of the commercial is to show the future consequences of the actions that we are taking today. Nobody is blaming the Chinese for our economic problems here. The ad is saying that our problems are of our own design.

Obama is probably a good father and husband but his socialist ideology (leaning communist) is poison to our system. Anyone here can aspire to their dreams. The younger generation Americans seem to truly be out of touch with American principles and what got this country to greatness in such a short period of time. They seem to be Government Kids now and paving the way to losing it all. Many recent studies reveal this when compared to younger generations in other countries. Actually, they (our kids) almost seem to be okay with losing it. CAGW gave us a perfect glimpse into part of the future if the younger generations don't wake up and lock-in.

We are losing our democracy when corporations or individual billionaires can buy not only political ads but whole news organizations (e.g. Fox News) in order to inundate the viewing public with irriational, but highly emotionally charged appeals to fear, greed or other negative emotions that cause people to react without thinking. Psycologically speaking, this is a blatant appeal to mob mentality by the minority elite for the purposes of controlling the majority's vote.
