1. Statue of Liberty, New York. This icon represents the promise of freedom and democracy.
   
   
2. Freedom Trail, Boston, Mass. This path takes visitors to 16 Revolutionary War Sites.
   
   
3. Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia, Pa. Home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.
   
   
4. National Archives Building, Washington D.C. Home to the Declaration of Independence, the constitution and the Bill of Rights.
   
   
5. Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Veterans of every American war are buried here, as is John F. Kennedy.
