纵观川普的言行，有不少“左”的东西。他提出“抽干华盛顿沼泽、为美国的铁锈带工人和农民争取权益、改革美国体制，针对美联储、限制华尔街大鳄；发动震惊世界的【1.6示威抗议事件】……提出美国要退出【北约】；这与俄罗斯反对北约东扩，有异曲同弓之处。

特朗普党既不同于民主党也与共和党不完全同调。特朗普是一个独立派，一位美国资产阶级民族主义者，偏向无权无势的平民大众或谓之群氓的利益。这就和腐化的拜金主义者、拜资本以求自保及自肥的两党所谓“左、右” 派政客们迥异其趣。两党由于死抱着所谓自由民主宪政等历史遗产不肯做政治维新和跟上社会大变迁时代的步伐，于是成为不进则退和脱离实际的反动派。中国有戊戌维新（1898），日本有明治维新（1868），美国必定会出现维新运动，很可能将会出现以特朗普为领导人的特朗普维新运动（2028？），彻底打破违背社会历史发展的、作为历史赘瘤的“左右派” 的、 陈旧的政治历史包袱。[Mark Wain 10-24-2025]

现在，谈一下除特朗普（川普）之外的另一位反当权派的新兴领导者-曼达尼(或马姆达尼，Zohran Mamdani)于当选纽约市市长之后带来的美国政治变化。

首先，曼达尼被戏称做是一位社会主义者。这个看法很有商榷的必要。

根据马恩列斯毛的学说，主张并坚持无产阶级专政、无产阶级社会主义革命、推翻资产阶级专政运动的参与者才被承认为社会主义者。其反对者及妥协者都不是社会主义者，而属于作为社会主义的对立面的妥协派即修正主义者；他们的来历与历史都很悠久- 马克思主义与反马克思主义的修正主义两者是并存的、同步的、互相联系着的两个对立统一体。

曼达尼不是社会主义者而是一位老牌修正主义者或资产阶级的改良主义者，也就是资产阶级改良派所谓的民主社会主义者。

为什么美国会出现改良主义和它的倡导者们？

这就牵涉到美国社会、政治、历史、文化及意识形态各方面要求变革的积极因素。由于美国历史上人民没有国王、贵族和僧侣阶层的压迫，所以美国的革命战争以来，不但没有“血和铁”的社会革命，甚至连革命这个概念也成为了美国人民最为厌恶的对象之一（这两点是和欧洲人民大异其趣的）。从而这就促成了他们对社会阶级分化与对立采取了一种改良与妥协主义的、“天然免疫的”对策。

自从美国第一次内战以来，北方的工业资产阶级击败了南方的大庄园主阶级的蓄奴霸权，然后登上历史舞台，成为了资产阶级资本独裁、专政与霸权的主人之后，至今所向披靡、无远弗届。踌躇满志的美国资产阶级，在长期执政的、没有对立面的独裁与专政下，导致了其统治上的腐败与因循苟且。例如，它收买两党政客，使之成为两党当权派（Bi-party Establishment,）玩弄资产阶级专政下的所谓民主-实际上是假人民民主、挂羊头卖狗肉式的资产阶级独裁-招摇撞骗，把劳动人民当成选举玩偶使唤，旁若无人。民主和共和两党当权派于是甘当资本的奴仆，代表资本为主子发号施令；它们一切施政、方针和举措的目的都无不是为资本的利益及其扩大化；偶然间，两党会大发伪善技俩，例入：救济贫民和失业后备军，从而掩饰其甘当资本买办和资本奴仆的丑态。两党长期为资本出谋划策，同时又与资本豢养的媒体、智库、舆论界、教育界等等资本的宠物犬们互相唱和并互相勾搭，从而沉重地、长期地打击了无产阶级的阶级觉悟。

阶级斗争虽然陷入隐蔽状态，但是，阶级分化与对立日益严重，以前可以应付裕如的社会政治经济文化及意识形态等领域内的矛盾与分裂已经陷两党当权派于濒临破产的境地。于是，政治阵地上就必然会出现反对当权派不得人心的领导的政治派别。首先起事的是2016年伯尼·桑德斯对民主党及共和党予以棒喝，提出改良主义改革方案，一如今日的曼达尼。但是，终于因为受到奥巴马、希拉里等当权派头头们的反对与杯葛而没有被提名为总统候选人。同年另一位反对当权派的特朗普（川普）趁机取得了总统候选人的资格，后来被选为总统。

当前的美国的政治形势是三种势力互相角力：当权派，被两个反对派——特朗普及其MAGA党和纽约市新任市长的曼达尼派围攻缠斗着。特朗普派受到广大基层劳动人民的支持而曼达尼派则受到纽约的白领市民群众的支持。前者人数庞大，与当权派有深层的矛盾，但由于其教育程度仅止于中专，争取领导的力度稍逊。曼达尼派如果能够冲出纽约市一个地方的政治较量，发展成为多都市联合起来和当权派角力，并且能够联合特朗普派的基层群众，成为广大劳动人民反对资本霸权的一面旗帜，那时，一个崭新的、真实的、有战斗力的社会主义才有可能走上政治舞台并走向革命的胜利。

Even now, Trump and Zelensky remain at odds, their relationship unfriendly, and they continue to argue.

Looking at Trump's words and actions, there are many "leftist" elements. He proposed "draining the Washington swamp, fighting for the rights of Rust Belt workers and farmers, reforming the American system, targeting the Federal Reserve, and restricting Wall Street giants"; he launched the world-shocking January 6th protests... and proposed that the United States withdraw from NATO; this is similar to Russia's opposition to NATO's eastward expansion.

Trump's MAGA Party is neither aligned with the Democratic Party nor entirely with the Republican Party. Trump is an independent, an American bourgeois nationalist, inclined towards the interests of the powerless masses, or what might be called the mob. This implies that MAGA party is totally different  with the corrupt money-worshippers and capitalist place-seekers who worship capital for self-preservation and enrichment—the so-called "left" and "right" of both parties. Because both parties cling to their so-called historical legacies of freedom, democracy, and constitutionalism, refusing to undertake political reform and keep pace with the era of great social change, they have become reactionary forces that are either stagnant or regressive, detached from reality. China had the Hundred Days' Reform (1898), Japan had the Meiji Restoration (1868), and the United States will inevitably see a reform movement, possibly even a Trump reform movement led by Trump (2028?), completely breaking down the outdated political and historical baggage of the "left and right" factions—which are contrary to social and historical development and serve merely as historical burdens. Now, let's discuss the political changes in the United States brought about by Zohran Mamdani, another emerging leader of the anti-Establishment faction besides Trump, after his election as Mayor of New York City.

First, Mamdani has been jokingly called a socialist. This view is highly debatable.

According to the doctrines of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao, only those who advocate and uphold the dictatorship of the proletariat, the proletarian socialist revolution, and the movement to overthrow the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie are recognized as socialists. Their opponents and compromisers are not socialists, but belong to the compromiser faction, i.e., revisionists, as the opposite of socialism; their origins and history are very long—Marxism and anti-Marxist revisionism are two coexisting, synchronous, and interconnected opposing unity.

The old-school revisionists are led by Eduard Bernstein (1850-1932). Bernstein was the leading figure; neo-revisionists emerged during and after the Stalin and Mao eras, continuing to this day. Regardless of whether it's old or new revisionism, its political essence is: "Only acknowledging reform, while denying revolution." Admittedly, for the proletariat, reform as a byproduct of revolutionary struggle is meaningful; however, without the goal of seizing power, pursuing reform indiscriminately can only repair and patch up the capitalist system, and cannot achieve socialism. Mamdani was not a socialist but a long-time revisionist or bourgeois reformist, that is, a so-called democratic socialist by the bourgeois reformists.

Why did reformism and its advocates emerge in the United States?

This involves the positive factors demanding change in American society, politics, history, culture, and ideology. Because the American people have historically not experienced the oppression of kings, nobles, and clergy, since the American Revolutionary War, there has not only been no social revolution of "blood and iron," but even the concept of revolution itself has become one of the most abhorrent objects for the American people (these two points are different from those of the European people). This led them to adopt a reformist and compromising, "naturally immune" countermeasures towards social class divisions and antagonism.

Since the First American Civil War, the industrial bourgeoisie of the North defeated the slave-owning hegemony of the Southern plantation owners and rose to power, becoming the masters of bourgeois dictatorship, autocracy, and hegemony, and has since been invincible and far-reaching. The ambitious American bourgeoisie, under a long-term, non-opposing dictatorship and autocracy, has become corrupt and complacent in its rule. For example, it has bought off politicians from both parties, making them the ruling parties collective (or the Bi-party Establishment). The establishment of the Democratic and Republican parties, manipulating the so-called democracy under the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie—which is in reality a sham people's democracy, a bourgeois dictatorship disguised as democracy—is a charade that treats the working people as puppets in elections, oblivious to their own existence. The ruling parties thus willingly become servants of capital, issuing orders on behalf of their masters; all their policies, guidelines, and measures are aimed at the interests and expansion of capital. Occasionally, the two parties will employ hypocritical tactics, such as providing relief to the poor and unemployed, to conceal their ugly behavior as compradors and slaves of capital. The two parties have long been advising and strategizing for capital, while simultaneously they collude and act in concert with capitalist-backed lapdogs - media, think tanks, public opinion circles, and educational institutions. All in all, they have severely and persistently undermined the class consciousness of the proletariat.

While class struggle has become covert, class differentiation and antagonism have intensified. Previously manageable contradictions and divisions in the socio-political, economic, cultural, and ideological spheres have now brought the Bi-party Establishment to the brink of collapse. Consequently, political factions inevitably emerge that oppose the unpopular leadership of the Bi-party Establishment. The first to rise to prominence was Bernie Sanders's scathing critique of the Democratic and Republican parties in 2016, proposing reformative solutions. The reformist agenda was similar to that of Mamdani today. However, due to opposition and boycotts from established figures like Obama and Hillary Clinton, he was ultimately not nominated as a presidential candidate. That same year, as another opponent of the Establishment faction, Trump, seized the opportunity to become the presidential nominee and was later elected president.

The current political situation in the United States is a three-way power struggle: the Establishment faction, besieged and entangled by two opposition groups—Trump and his MAGA party, and the Mamdani faction led by the newly elected mayor of New York City. The Trump faction enjoys widespread support from the lower working class, while the Mamdani faction enjoys support from New York's white-collar citizens. The former has a large number of lower-echelon working-class supporters. They have deep-seated contradictions with the ruling class, but due to their limited education (only middle or vocational school level), their efforts to gain leadership are somewhat weaker. If the Mamdani faction can break free from the political struggle confined to New York City and develop into a multi-city united front against the Establishment, and if they can unite with the grassroots masses of the Trump faction, becoming a banner for the broad masses of working people against capitalist hegemony, then a new, genuine, and fighting-capable socialism can possibly emerge on the political stage and lead to revolutionary victory.

Today is the anniversary of the October Revolution led by Lenin in Russia in 1917; may the American proletariat masses display their prowess. [Mark Wain 11/07/2025]
