during holiday time, as usual, a bunch of chinese got together blowing the cow.

a friend's friend, who has immigrated to canada over 10 years, claimed a college graduate back in china, spoke terribly poor english (if not called eng-chinese). she could barely speak a whole sentence.  Well, she is doing good in fact: she has her own convenience store in the city! and she has a caucasian bf! she often asked help to translate her chinese into english to her bf during our blow. so did the poor bf, he had asked us for help too (a nice guy, btw)

during casual talk on the way back, i mentioned to my friend why that lady's english is so poor after all these years. i was shocked my friend suddenly aggressively attacked me --- ur english is not good either! hhhmmm.... just a few more vocabulary! hhhmmm....maybe u r just better than her...

man! what's logic here!? it does NOT change the fact that the lady speaks poor english  whether my english is good or not!  why my friend is so sensitive to my comments on the lady's english ?---- she must connected this to herself somehow.

now, the fact is most chinese here in na do speak poor english! and probably many of them are very sensitive to such critics as well. the question is WHY?! can't people just tell the truth (demy! back to truth again!). we'll never improve our english if we won't face it honestly. get it?!

well, i am not sure that,  next time i'll make the same comments any more.
