Zhang Heng (张衡), watching the sky since the Han Dynasty, dropped me a few lines during today's solar eclipse:

When yin and yang unite,

The sun and moon shine in delight ---

Behind the veil of night,  

Avoiding the celestial dog's bite.

But the sun won't fade away,

Given a golden chance to dance

With the moon in the dark expanse.
