How to Upgrade Your Worldview 2025-05-02 02:24:38

How to Upgrade Your Worldview: From Relative Reality to Absolute Reality

In a world overflowing with noise, opinion, and distraction, the rarest act is to question the very reality you live in. Most people float within a socially constructed bubble, unaware there is something higher—something more real—beyond it. This article invites you on a journey: a transformation from Relative Reality, through Universal Truth, and finally toward Absolute Reality, where all meaning originates.

1. What Is Relative Reality (RR)?

Relative Reality is the reality of daily life—what you see on the news, in textbooks, or scrolling through social media. It includes the beliefs you inherit, the norms you obey, the words you use. In Instancology, this is the RR layer: the realm of representation, symbols, narratives, and constructed meanings.

Here, truth is negotiable, logic is often subjective, and values are contingent on time and place. It is a world of confusion not because people are irrational, but because everything is floating without a shared foundation.

2. The Need to Rise: Toward the Universal (RA)

When the contradictions of RR begin to press on your soul—when relativism fails to answer the deepest questions—people seek something solid. That is when they begin to ascend toward the Relatively Absolute layer (RA). This is the realm of:

Laws of logic and mathematics

Scientific paradigms and natural principles

Unchanging structures beneath changing appearances

The RA layer is not “Absolute” in the final sense, but it offers stability and universality. It is where you begin to see through opinions and detect underlying order. The RA layer gives structure to reality and is the platform on which WuXing (悟性)—intuitive insight—can arise.

Here, thinkers like Plato, Descartes, and Newton paused, sensing something higher but stopping short. In this layer, rationality is still king, and truth becomes discoverable, not invented.

3. Beyond Structure: The Leap to the Absolute (AA)

But what lies behind even the laws? Where does truth itself come from? This final step takes courage, because you must leave behind not only relativism but also the comfort of systematized logic. You must open yourself to the Absolute Absolute (AA).

This is the realm where the Whole precedes the parts. The Absolute is not deduced; it is revealed. It is not one thing among many but the source of all instancing, meaning, and truth.

The only way to “see” the AA is through a paradigm breakthrough—WuXing, an intuitive lightning flash that shows the Whole, like seeing a completed puzzle after staring at scattered pieces. It cannot be taught, only awakened.

4. How to Move Upward

The journey from RR to RA to AA is not automatic. It requires effort, reflection, and often, suffering. Here’s a roadmap:

Step 1: Recognize the illusion of RR. Language is not reality. Symbols are not meaning. Culture is not truth.

Step 2: Seek universal principles (RA). Dive into logic, science, and paradigms. But don’t stop there.

Step 3: Detect the limits of reason. When logic exhausts itself and still leaves questions unanswered, you are ready for something deeper.

Step 4: Embrace WuXing. Drop the obsession with parts. Let the Whole reveal itself in silence, stillness, or paradox.

Step 5: Live from the Absolute. Once glimpsed, AA reorients your entire being. You serve Truth, not trends. Meaning flows from within.

5. Why It Matters

Most people live and die within the RR layer, never realizing that their reality was just a construct. Those who rise to RA become scientists, philosophers, and reformers. But only a few keep climbing—into the silence behind reason, into the instance of the Whole itself.

To upgrade your worldview is not merely to become “smarter.” It is to become freer, clearer, and ultimately truer—to live no longer in fragments, but from the source of meaning itself.
