8/11/07 Meeting Notes

Place: Cheshire Shangri Lee Restaurant, Cheshire, CT.

There are 17 people participated the lunch meeting. This is the first meeting for Chinese Year 77 college students in great Hartford, New Haven, Waterbury area get together to celebrate the historical event that impacted everyone in this group regardless what is their current situation or religion or political opinion.

The meeting lasted for more than 4 hours. It started with round table introduction. Everyone briefly introduced him or herself where and how she or he enrolled in college in 1977. Every story significant touched every participator’s heart. It\'s an enjoyable, relax, tearful, and graceful experience. There is \"Slogan\" came out: \"If you would like be next 30 years, it\'s better to join us!\"

The meeting decided to start a series celebration event:

1. Celebration party will be held around October. (The detail will come out soon, including hotel, time, registration, and proceeding.)
2. Group cruise will be held around December. (It could be 3/4 days cruise)
3. Build Web site to collect any historical eyewitness to recall the significant years. Specified individuals for assignments.

To extend our glorious past and cherish our great and beautiful life, there is also short discussion about the needs and possibility to create permanent group or community to develop our social life, culture connection, health program, and society contribution to face any challenge for our life in more years, and support other group or our home country in the future.

筹备庆祝77级参加高考30周年预备会决议：

庆祝活动初步计划定于2007年10月13至14日在宾馆举行。即时将有精彩报告和各种活动。具体时间，地点和内容还有待进一步细化。12月8日至9日游艇（暂定）。

目前负责组织这项活动的有以下志愿者:

·        韩品连负责搜集有关资料，包括故事，图片，文物等与1977年高考有关的各种值得回味和愿意与大家分享的资料。

·        江山，王志远，和志刚（Jack）负责整理，编辑资料。

·        潘传勳（Ray），王岭负责有关文字，图像等多媒体的技术处理。

·        潘传勳负责所有图像等多媒体的电子设备。

·        高琦，韩品连负责摄影，录像。

·        郭雪柳，杨晓燕负责宾馆，会场的预定和安排以及财会。

·        活动安排和组织暂由潘传勳，江山，韩品连负责。
