A Love Story (5)

Yang actually felt quite happy and relieved when Qiu showed up at his door, realizing he wanted her to come all along. It was little early for dinner, but Qiu brought some food she made for a farewell dinner together with Yang, her love. There were nothing fancy, but a few delicately made dishes that Yang liked very much. Qiu thought about a little wine for dinner, but soon gave up the idea for she didn’t want anything to happen under the influence. She simply came to say good bye and to see her love likely the last time. That’s the love that she knew in her dictionary, just to love while she could even without any return.

The dinner went along well and was enjoyable to both of them. Over the whole year Yang’s here, they had developed a very natural and smooth mechanism to carry on a conversation that they both got into it, with a humorous remark here from Yang or a hearty laugh there from Qiu. So it went on just like business as usual, with both tumbling inside their hearts.

It was finally the time for Qiu to say goodbye. She bit her feeling back; tried so hard not to cry; and gave Yang a deep look with her most beautiful smile; sincerely wished him good luck; then quickly turned back towards the door. They both were shocked when Yang called out “Qiu”, with a tender, somehow broken voice. Time stopped right there. It’ was so quiet that they could hear their hearts booming. Qiu’s shoulder started trembling with confined crying. Yang, with his eye moist, took a deep breath and slowly but firmly stated “I love you”. They didn’t waste any more words before hugging into each other’s arm, so tight that Qiu felt she would be smothered by Yang’s hug and drowned by the flood of love.

Looking up with a flushed cheek and eyes drowned in tears, Qiu found Yang’s warm lips waiting and inviting. She kissed Yang tenderly at first, then so hardly to her dizziness as if she couldn’t breathe, with her heart jumping as if it’d come out of the womb. They both murmured words full of love while they were kissing, with both breathed heavily and both trembled. They would stop kissing as they got tired, staring at each other with love and happiness. Yang would brush Qiu’s silky dark hair to her back and caress her face, a face so beautiful, so happy and so full of love. He couldn’t help but kissed her eye and all over, then they would kiss again tirelessly.

Eventually, Qiu motioned and whispered that she wanted to give all to Yang. Looking deeply into Qiu’s eye trying to keep his blood and hormone from rushing wild, Yang whispered back that he’d save the best to the wedding night. Moved with a little surprise and in tears, Qiu murmured that she just want to love him without any promises from him. Yang answered back with a deep breathless kiss. While holding her air tight. Qiu was greedily giving and receiving kisses, drowned in tears of happiness, love, guilt and uncertainty. Yang’s mind was not at ease either but somehow clear that he loved Qiu, that he wanted to marry her eventually but didn’t want to take advantage of her in any ways at the very moment. So they kept on kissing, caressing, and hugging until don’t know when they slept in each other’s arm.

Ben,
This is good stuff. You've managed to hold the readers' interest. That's the hard part about writing a story chapter by chapter and you've done it well.
