Chinese English is English 2010-10-14 12:00:07

The author fully understands that his English writing is not nearly as good as those native writers  and far from perfection, and is intended to accept  criticism, suggestions and corrections; but is not intended for showing off in anyways, nor intended to take any personal attack, foul languages, and name calling in the name of free speech. The author is personally against the use of word ‘Chenglish’ for its discriminatory implication. This is a due proactive acknowledgement.

 Chinese English is English

I’ve been stalked by people who are obsessed with verbal abuse, personal attack with foul languages, and name calling in my blog. The main reasons for their anger are that My English is so called ‘Chenglish’ therefore sucks, and that I shouldn’t write in English in a Chinese Forum to show off. A similar accusation has also been made by the same people to another distinguished blog writer who’d mostly quoted English literatures into the blog writings.  It’s a nuisance one shouldn’t take it too seriously, but it is a mentality that poisons the health of the blog culture, like a poison to people from heavy metal or marijuana blossom.

The mentality is derived from a defective or inferior personality that English is superior to Chinese in their dictionary. So any English either written or quoted from English literature by a Chinese is ‘Chenglish’. Writing in English in a Chinese Forum is a big show-off because English is superior to Chinese. Or they feel so inferior or are inferior to write decently in English (or any other language including Chinese); any other Chinese has to be the same way.

I take English as a tool to express thought, with nothing but great admiration to those who can master their Chinese writings. As Chinese, we all have a tendency to make Chinese minded English expression. But English is English; even the most Chinese minded English can convey information, idea and thought. We Chinese in North America all have to write in one time or another, or all the time in English, whether it’s a simple form or a scientific publication. Rarely there would be any of the writings labelled as ‘Chenglish’, or subjected to criticism or personal attack. That’s the grateful thing to live in the open minded and tolerant society. Hope those with Defective Personality Syndrome could act like a New Yorker when in New York.

Who first defecated in 重金属's blog and aggressively made the crazily stupid attack on 重金属 and Blossom ?

By the way, what is your first language? Vietnamese, Lao, or Korean?

喜信,
You are unbelieveable. You put thought of so many including mine into word.
For me, I can only come up with wording like this:重金属and Blossom plz get a life and get lost.

I think a sound mind is a sound mind. It does not matter what language you use. What is important is what message you try to convey. Do not waste you energy on battling with some senseless accusations. This is wild wild web, there are a lot of mad men and idiots out there, or maybe just some people who have no life and are bored to death and want to poke at people for sick pleasure.

Can't you think of something better? Oh I am sorry, I forgot that you are a low life who can only think of a low life like a toad, or may be a worm or a snake suit you better.
BTW, did some one pay to your different names for all the harassment you made here under different names? You must've made a fortune.

Sneaking into the forum,
The toad only has one name,
Enjoying his Chinglish,
He is covering his shame.

The toad hops home,
Looking for something to do,
stumbling onto the street,
And is crushed by my shoe.

At least I have only one name.
I'd be more than happy to recommend you to a handful of Psychics if you have a wrong prescription.

Chinglish is not "Chenglish"!

Living underground a while,
As it climbs from a well;
Walking around the forum curiously,
A toad having a very strong feeling.

Speaking up its mind,
As it follows its heart;
The toad boasting and claiming,
Having the time of its life, writing in English.
