《中國任意剝奪出國人民國籍中“任意”的確切含義》

網上有很多網絡詞典，作為參考。慎重起見，筆者到圖書館查了兩部詞典。

一部是《美國學院詞典》這部詞典第一版是1947年。筆者閱讀的是1965年版本。

arbitrary adj 1.subject to individual will or judgment; discretionary. 2 capricious; uncertain; unreasonable: an arbitrary interpretation. 3 uncontrolled by law; using or abusing unlimited power; despotic; tyrannical; an arbitrary government. -arbitraily adv. — arbitrayiness, n.

筆者把上面翻譯成中文是：

任意：形容詞 1.受個體意志或評斷支配; 任意。 2反覆無常; 不確定; 不合情理： 一個任意解釋。 3 不受法律控制; 使用或濫用無限的力量; 專制; 強橫; 一個任意政府。 arbitrarily副詞。arbitrariness 名詞。

另一部更完整。這部詞典第一版是1983年。筆者閱讀的是1989年版本。
