Are You the Cloud Coming from My Hometown?

Are you the cloud coming from my hometown,
With golden rims, adrift in the blue sky?
To catch you, making you for me a crown,
As kid on Daddy’s shoulders, I would try.
The moment I see you, I feel a shock,
As if I got back to all those past years.
Upon the Great Wall, I find mountains block
My way to the Yangtse, and shed hot tears.
On Father’s Day, I cannot reach his grave!
Could you fly back sooner with this white rose,
And drop it to the fields, by which I crave
For kissing the stele when a soft breeze blows?
In all my life, my Daddy’s smiles are beams,
Here day and night, enlightening my dreams.
《子非鄉雲兮》
子非鄉雲兮，其邊煌煌？
馳驅天庭兮，信馬由韁；
吾欲采君兮，編冠其皇，
如彼孺子兮，跨騎父項。
初面君顏兮，誠恐誠惶，
莫非夢中兮，溯回時光？
奈何青山兮，隔吾騁望，
淚沾滿襟兮，思奔大江。
皇考既歿兮，難祭匕鬯，
倩爾歸去兮，秉燭添香。
我父墓塋兮，蒿草丘荒，
何能長跪兮，吻碑訴腸。
我父音容兮，日月天光，
長相守護兮，其愛無疆。
