初聽喬西・格勞本（ＪＯＳＨ。ＧＲＯＢＡＮ）這首二月之歌的時候，就有一種想把它譯成中文的衝動。試用過幾種現代體裁之後，均覺得未能傳達其痛切之意。於是試着用古體詩把它譯成了中文。 

古詩詞中對友情的書寫不乏名作，如“思君若汶水，浩蕩寄南征”。最為痛切者，可以顧貞觀（字梁汾）寄吳兆騫的“金鏤曲”為例。一曲“季子平安否？”真正是感天動地，難怪它會激發出納蘭性德那首同詞牌的謳歌友情的傑作“贈梁汾”。不過，我卻記不起什麼懺悔疏於友情的作品。許是我孤漏寡聞，少見多怪之故。各位方家或可補正。 

疏於友情，若是因為山水之隔，也還情有可囿。可是現代的疏離，多由於價值和信念的堅守或放棄。此時，咫尺之間，恍若天塹。此情此景，才真正讓人唏噓不已。這首歌傳達的似乎就是這樣的一種痛責。
