Chirping on the southmost branch in morning dew,
A song, thousand years old, courting like new.
The same river bank are too crowded since,
Rendes-vous for Romeo and Juliet thus overdue.

中文譯文：
蟬聲猶自最南枝，古調千年情愈滋。
舊岸而今遊客滿，約會朱羅幾度遲。
