A Dream On Christmas Eve
It was the night before christmas, after every one went to bed, The stockings were hung by the chimney with a golden thread.
The room was lit up by the tall beautiful twinkling Xmas tree. Cookies were laid on the table as well as a cup of tea.
Out on the lawn there was no snow, only moonlight gave the world a silver floor. Suddendly I heard a clatter, And wondered what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew, Opened the curtain and searched through. To my curious eyes there was Santa Claus on the neighbour's roof, I could see eight reindeer, I could hear their hoovies.
To my fireplace I ran Underneath, the ashes had gone everywhere, I realized that Santa Claus must have had a plan, He had been to my house then rushed to there.
What a busy night for an old man! With Loads of presents and tons of love, Trying to give people as much as he could, Behaving like an angel soaring above.
I went to the area where the Xmas tree stood, So many gifts were beautifully wrapped, boy did they look good. My eyes were caught by a little box, Tore open the wrapping paper, but not the locks.
What a surprise after I opened it with the magic key, A delicate book was specifically addressed to me. Page after page I turned, Inside were all poems I have learned.
Merry Christmas my friends!
