Among the motley group of European expatriates trapped in Morocco due to the worsening political situation in Europe, Sira reinvents herself by resorting to the only talent that can save her: her gift for creating beautiful garments. 

Between Youth and Maturity... 
At age twelve, Sira Quiroga sweeps the floors at the sewing workshop where here (single) mother works as a seamstress. At age fourteen, she smoothly transitions into her own apprenticeship. By the time she is in her twenties, she has already learned the trade and is engaged to be married to a modest civil servant. But everything changes when two charismatic men unexpectedly barge into her carefully planned life: an attractive salesman and the father she had never known.

以下的中文介紹是我觀看日文版的一篇幾年前的觀後感舊文，和英文與中文介紹的角度不同，發在這裡僅供參考。因為最近知道也有中文的譯製片，因此在發。

時值周末，給朋友們推薦一本書以及由此改編的電視連續劇。小說是幾年前從圖書館偶然發現，借回家讀的。電視劇原語是西班牙語，最近發現油管也可以看到不同語言的版本。腳本改編得非常成功，演員陣容十分出色。（所有劇情圖片全部來自網頁）以前觀看電影卡薩布蘭卡的時候，不但對主人公和劇情印象深刻，北非的摩洛哥的異國風味也十分難忘，但據說那都是在好萊塢的攝影棚內完成的。而此部影視背景地全部是實地攝影，比如摩洛哥的丹吉爾是北非頂端的一個古老的臨海城市位於直布羅陀海峽西面的入口，與歐洲大陸隔海相望。可以說在此處，北非大陸和南歐大陸真可謂“一衣帶水”，近在遲尺之遙。

英文：The Time in Between（介於兩者之間的時間），書中描繪了一個在動盪的時代中倖存下來的以縫紉裁剪為生的女性希拉。這是一部西班牙暢銷小說，被翻譯成全球25種語言，並且改編為電視連續劇。時間定位第二次世界大戰。希拉的命運越來越和歐洲各國的戰略和時代政治人物的影響秘密相關。舞台的背景是從西班牙內戰擴大到摩洛哥以及葡萄牙，因此，所有異國風光都是在摩洛哥丹吉爾拍攝。西班牙，摩洛哥和葡萄牙的街道和建築物充滿着異國情調，更給予影片迷人的色彩和異樣的背景。故事情節緊扣，獨特的異域風光也給人印象深刻，二者相輔相成，使劇情更加撲朔迷離。

主角希拉（Sheila）於1911年出生於西班牙馬德里，由她的母親（一位女裁縫）撫養長大。她從小就一直與母親一起做裁縫，並刻苦認真地磨練自己的技能。希拉生性純美，一次傲然的場合她遇到了初戀的伴侶沉默寡言但誠實的公務員伊格納西奧（Ignacio）。生活如同流水，該怎樣就怎樣，兩人自然而然地準備結婚了。2人一起為希拉購買打字機前往一家小店，熱情奔放的拉米羅出現在希拉的面前，他的火一般燃燒的目光融化了希拉的矜持。她意識到自己對未婚夫伊格納西奧（Ignacio）從未有過這樣感覺。雖然自責，最終，希拉誠實地向初戀坦白了一切，解除了婚約。

主角希拉·基羅加由西班牙女演員阿德里亞娜·烏加特飾演，美麗又純真。印象深刻的是，即使她感到絕望，她也能堅強不屈地恢復正常，自食其力地以充實的生活面對逆境。希拉用來自母親的裁縫技藝才能與上流社會保持聯繫，從而承擔了從事各種各樣的活動和任務，為了她的祖國西班牙。
