What we should rethink most about Xia case is not the procedural justice even that is a long term goal we should pursue.
What shock us we was what forced a father to lose his life by going up a blind alley and taking away others life with him? What he wanted is just, same as many other fathers, to work to pay the tuition for his talented young kid to learn art.
The tragedy of Xia's family, and together with two other families, is the tragedy of our nation. When more and more people go up a blind alley with despair, this is the way the society would end, not with a bang of bomb but whimpers of people.
