Masterpiece Poetry by Song Dynasty Poet Su Shi "Bookworm Enchantment Format: Reminiscing about the Historic Red Cliff"
The east-bound Yangtze River is roaring, torrents have flushed away, all those heroic icons through the vast history. To the west of this ancient wall, as people commonly recall, stands the red cliff where Commander Zhou of Three Kingdoms waged battle. Each of chaotically protruding rocky peaks poking the airspace to a hole, raging tides smashing the shore, relentless waves crashing and clumping into a massive white whirl. A land rich in picturesque terrains, an era studded with powerful legends and reigns.
Flashing back to that remote wartime, Sir Zhou and Miss Qiao as newly wed, and he prevailed as a charismatic and majestic head. Waving feather fan and wearing head scarf of the culture, commanding in entertaining composure, sending enemy's fleet to smokes and ashes on pleasure. A sacred tour of this ancient state today, laughable of my own sentimental way, as to already turning gray. But life is really a story of dreamer, I'm returning a wine drink over a mirrored moon on the river. |
