The 2014 Frank Nelson Cole Prize in Number Theory is awarded to Yitang Zhang(张益唐), Daniel Goldston, Janos Pintz and Y. Yildirim. for their breakthrough work in Number theory.
The Frank Nelson Cole Prize, or Cole Prize for short, is one of two prizes awarded to mathematicians by the American Mathematical Society, one for an outstanding contribution to algebra, and the other for an outstanding contribution to number theory. The prize is named after Frank Nelson Cole, who served the Society for 25 years.
The prize is awarded every three years.
Those, who have fought for Chinese Democracy in last 25 years, are especially proud of Zhang.
