for any representative of the Chinese American community, it is not only justified but also obligated for him to fight for the community when something happens to damage our interests and to hurt our feeling. It reports that actually Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus supports to boycott ABC and Jimmy Kimmel if they won't issue an apology.
Once again, this protest has proved that every voice makes a difference in this democracy country, for better or for worse.
Some suggested we should participate in American politics. That just is what we have been doing for last 25 years. Even it is hard for our first generation to become an elected officer due to many historical reasons. Many of us are still the front runners for community service and civil right battle. We are glad to see that Chinese American have reached a new level of political incorporation in terms of their involvement and campaign
skill in recent years.
However, how to draw a line between American politics and Chineise politics is a complicated issue. It is not as simple as he thought. I may talk about it in a separate article.
finally, ABC issues a formal apology attached below. It is a good move for ABC to correct its mistake and control the damage. I belive it is also a good time to end this event from which all parties should have learned a lesson.
