why was nature science not developed from China?  An obvious reason is that Chinese culture lacks of methodology applied in science that I have discussed with Box before.

But the more profound reason lies in the difference between Chinese philosophy and western philosophy. They study the different things with different purposes.  So even you apply the western methodology into Chinese culture, it won''t produce nature science.  A not so right but enlighten metaphor is that you cannot apply scientific methodology to any religion, it won''t do you any good.

Chinese philosophy,  western philosophy, and religion form a complete set of thinking system that is not only what human being needs but also what they could have.
