The unforgettable West lake

If you have not been in the West lake, you may not have been in China in some sense. You don't have to go to Beijing or Shanghai, today they all look like Manhattan, but you cannot miss the West lake. It is not just a lake, it is a culture, a kind of beautiful and profound culture you can only find in China.
The West Lake offers the poetic and picturesque landscape so characteristic of Chinese classic art. Touring around the West Lake, you will immerse into those special culture and history harmoniously integrated with the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains.
A bridge, a pond, filled of the desires of people for happiness and love. A mountain, a stone, engraved with the struggle of people for future and hope which they never surrendered.
I have visited the West lake for many times. Many years ago, when I was still teaching in China, I took a group of students from remote area to the shore of West lake, Hangzhou, and helped them to land a job in this modern city famous also with its IT industry that perfectly fits with the natural environment around. They were happy as children, and loved the West Lake immediately. There is no gap between generations, and between nations as well, for anything beautiful and civilized.
What attached below is a photo that I took with those students together at the West lake. That is an unforgettable memory of my country, and my students.
