Costco是個特立獨行的公司。2016以後，隨着川普一聲吼，各個外國公司蜂擁撤出中國。零售業更是如此，本來walmart，法國家樂福、德國麥德龍都已經在中國經營多年，2016之後都在紛紛撤出。那麼costco幹啥了？他們選擇在2019年在上海閔行開了第一家，下面陸陸續續開了七家：

• August 27, 2019:

• Shanghai (Minhang District)
  Costco opened its first store in China, located in Shanghai. This store received overwhelming customer interest, with crowds causing traffic disruptions on its opening day.

• March 2021:

• Suzhou (Jiangsu Province)
  Costco expanded to Suzhou, marking its second store in China.

• December 2021:

• Shanghai (Pudong District)
  Costco opened a second store in Shanghai, this time in the Pudong district.

• March 2022:

• Hangzhou (Zhejiang Province)
  The fourth Costco store in China opened in Hangzhou.

• March 2023:

• Ningbo (Zhejiang Province)
  Costco continued its expansion in Zhejiang Province with a store in Ningbo.

• January 12, 2024:

• Shenzhen (Guangdong Province)
  Costco opened its first store in southern China, located in Shenzhen.
