從美國回來後，有一天突然意識到已是十二月初了。在美國時神志總有些恍惚，竟然沒有給新生的寶寶留個満月紅包，更別提給迪迪什麼禮物錢了。 連同聖誕卡片一起寄吧，而且要早早寄。但是在選定的日子衝出辦公室後才發現正下着大雨。不想回頭，於是衝進雨里，腦子裡浮現得是寶寶可愛的小胖臉。急步走向bus車站，一點兒都不遠，但是越走身上越潮。很快兩個褲腿已濕，後背也被從傘上滴下的雨水濕了大片。這樣走着，自然而然地想起了電影Sex and the city 1 里的一個場境。落單的Carrie被同樣落單的 Miranda的電話弄醒了，於是她穿衣出門來到Miranda的家，兩人一起度過了那個孤單的Christmas Eve。當Carrie頂着風雪在聖誕夜裡獨自穿行於街巷奔向Miranda時，背景歌曲是蘇格蘭民歌[Auld Lang Syne]。委婉與低沉的歌曲伴隨着是Carrie的孤單，失落，不甘心，掙扎與嚮往。而，此時奔向郵局的我的心境也如此。 努力後卻在苦澀中掙扎。亦或是時間太短，還不能總結？只能交給時間了，好在失落與渴望依然結伴而行。
