I also think young kids have natural ability to learn music -- much faster and easier than grownups. I'm always amazed by how they can process and internalize such complex things so naturally. Admire you for taking the challenge of learning piano together with your daughter - I tried for a while, and pretty soon I was left far behind so I gave up.
