Q1: Describe your day job, and what skill set you bring to the dais.

A1.
I am a serial entrepreneur,I have owned and operated multiple small businesses in the last 28 years across different industries. Currently, I am a construction professional and my company has been established for over 17 years. As a small business owner, I've learned to be a hands-on operator, responsible for everything from business development,vendor and clients relationships, contract compliance, finance, and Human Resources. I have years of experience in executing objectives, implementing new protocols, innovating for growth, and conflict resolution.
我自己的经历是一段连续创业的过程。在过去的28年里，我在不同的行业创立并经营了多家小型公司。目前，我是一名专业建筑承包商。我的公司已经成立超过17年。作为一个小企业主，我知道如何立即投入业务当中。我熟悉企业经营的所有环节，包括业务拓展、供应商关系、客户关系、合约履行、公司财务和人力资源各个方面。在策划与执行，新协议的实施，创新促进业务增长，和解决冲突等方面我有着多年的经验。
I have announced publicly that I will not engage directly or indirectly in any real estate development/building project, whether they are public or private projects; but with many infrastructure improvement projects that are on the way, I will be able to bring value, experience and knowledge to our city government to maximize the value received for every dollar spent.
我已经向社会公开宣布，我将不再直接或间接地从事任何公共及私营的房地产开发和建设项目。目前正在进行的许多基础设施改善的项目中，我将为我们的市政府贡献价值、经验和专业知识，以确保政府所花的纳税人的每一块钱能够发挥出最大的功效。
Q2: What would you like to achieve as City Councilperson?
你在市议员任内想实现什么样的目标？
A2.
My guiding principle is "Common Sense Governing." I believe every elected official is to make decisions for the city on behalf of our citizens. Whether it's a financial decision, staffing decision or zoning decision, I am committed to make those decisions with our citizens’ best interest in mind. Therefore, I will always ask myself: Would I make the same decision and make the same financial commitment for my business or home? I will follow this guiding principle 100% of the time and by doing so,I believe Johns Creek City government will be more effective and efficient in the years to come. I would like to accomplish a balanced budget and roll back taxes so our citizens keep more of their hard earned money. When prudent, I will encourage more commercial development to broaden our tax base and encourage job growth. I will fight high density projects that negatively impact traffic and increase the burden on our infrastructure.
我问政的指导原则称为“常识管理”。我相信每一个民选官员的职责是代表我们的广大公民为城市的未来作出决策。无论是财务方面的决策、人事方面的决策、还是市区划分方面的决策，我将致力于为我们市民的最佳利益做出决定。因此，在做出每一个财务决定的同时，我总是会以同一个问题来拷问自己：换成是我自己的公司和家庭，我做出来的决定是不是会一样？我会在100％的时间里遵行这一指导原则。我相信，这将使Johns Creek市政府在未来的日子里的运作效能将得到进一步提高。通过实现预算平衡，我打算通过税务返还的方式使我们的市民得以保留更多的辛辛苦苦赚来的钱。我会以谨慎的态度，鼓励本地更多的商业开发项目，以扩充我们的税基并带动就业的增长。我会致力阻挡高密度房产的开发项目过关，因为高密度的房产项目将给我们的交通状况带来负面的影响，并加重当地基础设施的负担。
Q3: Differentiate yourself from your opponent.

A3.
I am proud to say that we have both run positive campaigns to this date and I will continue to do so through the remainder of the campaign. I do think there are some differences that voters should consider when making their choice.
我很自豪地告诉各位，在过去的一段时间里，我们双方的竞选阵营都以正面的态度从事竞选活动。在这段剩余的时间，我将继续以这种积极正面的态度完成我的竞选任务。我同时也认为，有必要让选民注意到双方候选人的不同之处，从而能够在投票时做出自己的最佳选择。

My years of experience in multi-faceted industries and entrepreneurship has given me a wide range of expertise in various segments of the economy. This experience will help me make the right decisions for the people of Johns Creek.
我多年在很多方面从事的产业、以及创业的经验使我在经济的各个环节具备了广泛的专业知识。这些方面的经验将帮助我为我们Johns Creek的市民做出正确的决定。
2. Ability to listen
倾听的能力
I've engaged hundreds of face to face conversation with citizens in Johns Creek with one purpose in mind: I'd like to find out the needs and desires of our people. I believe in order to fairly and fully represent the citizens in Johns Creek, I have to be a better listener than I am a talker. I have to be someone who is more than just having opinions on issues but also is willing to listen to all whom I engaged. I believe that I am a better listener than my opponent.
我已经花费大量的时间和成千的Johns Creek市民面对面亲自对话。我做这件事只有一个目的，就是我想了解我们的市民的需求和愿望。我相信，如果要公正地充分代表Johns Creek公民的利益，我必须成为一个更好的倾听者而不是演说家。虽然我在很多事务上需要有自己的意见和想法，但是我也更愿意成为一个倾听者。我相信，我比我的对手是一个更好的倾听者。
3. Availability
公务时间的投入
I am a believer of "Counting the cost before you build the house." Understanding what it takes to serve the citizens as an active and involved city council member was the first step of my decision process. I am blessed to be able to be flexible with my time in my business; and my wife and I just became empty nesters. The timing can't be any better for me to take the next 4 years of my life to devote to public service for the improvement of our city. I could not have made this same commitment 21 years ago with a toddler and a new born baby. There will be times that a city council member needs to be available during the day and invest hours of time to get familiar with subject matters for the council meeting. This will be a major challenge for a young father with a full time job. I believe that I am a candidate that is prepared to be available for the responsibility of being a City Council member.
我相信圣经上所说的：“建造房子之前必须先计算花费。”如果要打算成为一个积极主动投入政务的市议员，我首先就是要计算为了服务市民我到底能够付出多少时间？很幸运的是，由于从事生意的缘故，我能够灵活地腾出大量的个人时间来为市民服务。目前我和我的妻子刚刚正好进入空巢期。所以，未来的四年市议员任期是本人的人生当中服务市民的最佳时段，让我有机会把时间投入到公共服务领域当中，把我们的城市建设得更美好。假设我把时光倒流到21年前，并且带着一个两三岁的孩子以及一个婴儿，我是断然不会做出如此重大的决定来从政。因为作为一个市议员，常常有需要在白天投入时间服务市民，并且还需要花费大量的时间来熟悉市议会开会讨论的各项事务。这些对于一个带着全职工作的年轻的父亲来说，是一个巨大的挑战。作为一个市议员候选人，我已经为了履行市议员的职责准备了充分的时间。
