9月3日，Trump 訪問了 Great Faith Ministries International Church in Detroit。生活在Southeastern Virginia自稱是“黑人 conservative”的平面圖像設計師Anthony Brian Logan在他製作的一小段youtube視屏下的評語中寫道，“Trump 在教會的講演很棒（The actual speech Trump gave during, or sometime close to, the Church service was great）。”
Anthony身為黑人，很自然地表達了他的希望，“a great performance and a great example for other Republicans in the future. Conservative outreach to the black community is often seen as a waste of time because the overwhelming majority of blacks always vote Democrat. The younger generation, however, may be more receptive to new ideas than their elders. Trump could have "sown the seed" of a new generation of black Republicans, by sparking the expectation of all political parities to outreach, then show and prove if elected.”

當然了，一定也有人抗議Trump訪問底特律黑人教會。然而有位叫“Linda”的這樣評論，“Dozens and hundreds on the outside, thousands and tens of thousands INSIDE the Trump rallies.”
抗議的組織者自稱也是“牧師”，但是他們竟然同穆斯林信仰的鼓吹者（Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi, from the Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn Heights）站在了一起。有一位叫“Sheila Axe”問的好，“Under One God？Which God is he speaking of？”
