9月3日，Trump 访问了 Great Faith Ministries International Church in Detroit。生活在Southeastern Virginia自称是“黑人 conservative”的平面图像设计师Anthony Brian Logan在他制作的一小段youtube视屏下的评语中写道，“Trump 在教会的讲演很棒（The actual speech Trump gave during, or sometime close to, the Church service was great）。”
Anthony身为黑人，很自然地表达了他的希望，“a great performance and a great example for other Republicans in the future. Conservative outreach to the black community is often seen as a waste of time because the overwhelming majority of blacks always vote Democrat. The younger generation, however, may be more receptive to new ideas than their elders. Trump could have "sown the seed" of a new generation of black Republicans, by sparking the expectation of all political parities to outreach, then show and prove if elected.”

当然了，一定也有人抗议Trump访问底特律黑人教会。然而有位叫“Linda”的这样评论，“Dozens and hundreds on the outside, thousands and tens of thousands INSIDE the Trump rallies.”
抗议的组织者自称也是“牧师”，但是他们竟然同穆斯林信仰的鼓吹者（Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi, from the Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn Heights）站在了一起。有一位叫“Sheila Axe”问的好，“Under One God？Which God is he speaking of？”
