耐人尋味

美國商業部長，威爾伯·羅斯 （Wilbur Ross），在本周四的電視採訪中說，武漢爆發的，並（到當天）死了170人的肺炎，對美國經濟發展來說是件好消息，可以促使美國工業的回歸。

作為一名政治家，他講此話時當然是“墊了鋪墊”的。

他說： “First of all, every American's heart has to go out the victims of the coronavirus. So, I don't want to talk about a victory lap over a very unfortunate, very malignant disease。”“ But the fact is, it does give businesses yet another thing to consider when they go through their review of their supply chain.”

簡單地翻譯是：“首先，所有的美國人都應該對冠狀病毒的受害者表示同情。因此我不想大談由此萬惡和令人不幸的疾病所帶來的勝利。”“但事實是，對於生產商來說，當他們計劃在哪裡建立其生產供應鏈時，這又是一個應當考慮進去的因素。”

他不想談，但還是（按捺不住地）說了。

恐怕有些人，只有當自身也遭殃，奄奄一息時，才能靜下來。
