Slowly the moon is rising out of the ruddy haze, 薄霧微紅映月明， Divesting herself of her golden shift, and so 嬋娟緩步出金屏， Emerging white and exquisite; and I in amaze 圓融玉照濁寰驚。 See in the sky before me, a woman I did not know 遙望空靈追絕美， I loved, but there she goes and her beauty hurts my heart; 緊隨銀瀉入深更， I follow her down the night, begging her not to depart. 懇求靜女勿辭行。
