剛在萬維看到一篇新聞：滑鐵盧大學面試感觸 - 只有華裔才學這學那？

我有相同的體會。一直以來想寫一篇介紹，但還沒收集好材料。

我工作的公司，每個學校學期，都有CO－OP 學生來，每四個月輪流一次。

1. 學生的族裔

公司是機械類製造業，主要是學機械的學生來CO－OP，和小量的IT computer 學生.  

白人學生是多數，華裔, 印度裔也不少.

2. 大部分CO－OP 學生都很努力，聰明，認真學習，爭取學到更多的技能。我們公司給大部分學生好的實習成績，並歡迎表現好的學生下次再來（不用training). 當公司有新的職位時，首先考慮這些 CO－OP畢業生. ５－６次CO－OP 工作（在５年的學習期內），使學生早早知道如何工作，如何和同事合作，動手能力強。也知道掙錢不容易。

3. 這裡的COOP收入不低。隨專業/年級而不同，比最低工資高多了(最後一年的學生，可以拿到大學畢業工資的８０％)。基本上CO－OP學生有能力付學費, 有些還有部分生活費，我們這一帶孩子們在滑鐵盧大學上學, 不花家長什麼錢, 而且畢業後都找到不錯的工作。

 因此我們這些家長都為孩子們能夠在這樣的大學學習,並得到工作鍛煉而高興。
