Hello 2014 SunRunners :
We
will increase our practice distances for both groups by about 1km. The
60- group will run from the usual starting area to the end of the dyke
trail. The 60+ group should run back at Steveston Hwy.
For
the 60+ group, this is the maximun distance you will be trained. We
will do one more 9km in one of the following week and then a 6km taper
run and you are ready for the 10km. The magic of race day will give you
the energy needed for the last km.
The 60- group will peak at 12km and a 7 km taper run to conculde the training.
If
you are not feeling 100%, it is much wiser to take one practice off. If
the distance is to much for you, cut it short. This is what practice
run is all about. No need to tough it out.
