聖弗朗西斯和他的禱告文（下）
前文簡要介紹了生於十二世紀意大利亞西西的基督教偉大聖徒弗朗西斯的生平事跡。他以他短暫的人生，活出了一位基督門徒的聖潔生命。聖弗朗西斯本可以享受他父親留給他的巨大的人間財富，可是他卻安貧樂道，背起十字架，跟隨主耶穌的足跡，真實地實踐積財寶於天國。
聖弗朗西斯被尊為美國舊金山市的守護者，世界動物和環境保護的先驅。他也天主教最大的派別之一聖方濟會的創始人。對於山哥和許多主內弟兄姊妹們而言，聖弗朗西斯留下的膾炙人口的禱告詞，成為我們與神交流的楷模。我們也由此更加明白何謂“先求神的國，神的義”；何為“施比受更為有福”，如何才能愛神愛人如己。
主啊，使我作你和平之子：
在仇恨之處播種你的愛；
在傷害之處播種你寬恕；
在懷疑之處播種信心；
在絕望之處播種你盼望；
在黑暗之處播種你光明；
在悲哀之處播種喜樂；
主啊，賜我那夢寐以求的： 少求人安慰，但求安慰人；
少求人理解，但求理解人；
少求被愛，但求去愛；
因為給予，就是得着 寬恕人，就被寬恕；
這樣的死亡，就是我們的永生。
Lord, make me a channel of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life。
